24 to 29 August 2004
2004 Meeting for Younger Chemists (SET for EUROPE)
Turin/Torino, Italy
The 2004 Conference for Younger Research Chemists from across Europe will take place in Turin/Torino, Italy, between August 24 and 29, 2004. It is in association with Torino University (Chemistry) and Societa Chimica Italiana. This is the fourth annual meeting in the series. We invite applications from all younger European chemists, chemical engineers and technologists (21 to 35 years of age). We hope that every European country will be represented. This meeting is also a pan-European Competition for the prestigious 2004 Europa Medal and 1,000 euro Prize (and Runner-Up Prizes) for the best poster. More details will be placed on the website www.setforeurope.org at the navigation button Torino 2004 (from mid-January 2004 onwards). Electronic submission will be possible. Deadline for all Applications is Friday, 18 June 2004.
These Conferences bring younger chemists together from many parts of Europe
to share results, theories, views and experiences, to provide poster
presentation opportunities. They are especially valuable for early-stage
researchers who may not have participated in a high profile international
meeting before. There are opportunities for Short Talks, and Keynote Talks
and Industrial/Social Excursions. The 2004 Conference will take place in
the resplendent Villa Gualina in the hills above Torino. Accommodation
will be at the Villa, or at a University residence for any overflow. Cost
is expected to be around 10 to 15 euros per night for B&B. Details of the
Conference Fee will be given on our website.
Details are at website www.setforeurope.org and at the blue Torino 2004
button.
Past meetings: London in 2001, Heidelberg in 2002 and Grenoble in 2003.
